When I first picked up a camera, I thought photography was about capturing beautiful images.
And in many ways, it is.
But over the years, I realized something much deeper.
Photography isn’t really about pictures.
It’s about the stories.
The story of a brand new baby entering the world.
The story of a family growing year after year.
The story of a senior stepping into their next chapter.
The story of two people building a life together.
For the past 14 years, you’ve known me as Brandi Perales Photography, and it has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. I’ve had the privilege of photographing thousands of beautiful moments for families across North Texas, and many of you have trusted me again and again to capture your memories as your families grow.
And in many ways… I’ve been growing right alongside you.
My own children are getting older.
The seasons of life are changing faster than I ever imagined they would.
And lately I’ve found myself feeling a little more nostalgic — holding onto the small moments a little tighter, realizing just how quickly time moves.
Maybe it’s getting older.
Maybe it’s watching my own babies grow up.
But somewhere along the way, something began to shift in my heart.
My work became about more than photos.
It became about the stories behind them.
The quiet moments between poses.
The laughter, the connection, the fleeting seasons of life we wish we could hold onto forever.
In recent months, many of you have also seen another side of my creativity as I stepped into the world of writing and became an author. Storytelling through words has become another way for me to capture the emotions and moments that inspire me.
And somewhere along the way, photography and storytelling became deeply connected for me.
So today, I’m so excited to share this next chapter.

This new chapter reflects the heart behind what I’ve always loved most about this work — capturing real moments and telling the stories of the people in front of my lens.
Along with beautiful portraits, I’ll now also be sharing small written stories from each session, capturing not just what the moment looked like, but how it felt.
Because photographs freeze a moment in time…
but sometimes words help preserve the feeling behind it.
This new name doesn’t change who I am or how I work.
It simply gives a name to the heart behind it.
I’m so grateful for every single family who has trusted me with their memories over the years, and I cannot wait to continue telling your stories in this new chapter.
